DAY 1:
I arrived down there wid my MOM and chweet SIS......
From there we went to my DAD's office and then to his house near INJAKKAL......
The roads were narrow and everyone was walkin right down the middle of the road wid no fear of the oncoming vehicle hittin them......
Then from there, we went to PADMANABHA SWAMY temple and VARAHARA SWAMY temple.......
The temples were really gr8........The orderliness is simply awesome.....
Then went to the retiring room where we refreshed ourselves and went to HOTEL LEELA @ KOVALAM.....
The hotel was really kewl and gr8.......The food was awesome....
And the scenic beauty was really really wonderful..Even in the nite, the location looked awesome....More so bcoz we ate in d open near the sea.......
The coast-line was awesome and the moonlight beautified it further.......
Then from there we returned bak to our rooms @ 11 and I saw some cricket matches on TV till 0045hrs and slept.......
DAY 2:::
De day started off wid us going to a GANAPATHY temple and we had breakfast @ a well known tamil restaurant named AARIYA NIVAS which my DAD frequents.......
Then from there, we went back to our rooms to pack stuff for our stay @ KOVALAM over the nite @ HOTEL SEA FACE........
I was drivin the SAIL after a long time and the ride was quite enjoyable.......I got a few videos also on my comp.....
It was supposed to be PONGALA festival in town and so my DAD told it was better to be away from the town than to suffer inside the houses.........
Then I drove down to KOVALAM and the backwaters en route were kewl....
Then we checked-in @ the hotel and took some rest.......
Then in d evenin, went to the beach and thoroughly enjoyed the scenic beauty.......The sunset(pic:right) was the highlight.........
Then went bak to the room and saw the GREATEST CRICKET MATCH OF ALL TIME and the FORMULA 1 race simultaneously.....
Then wen it darkened, went down to the beach to have a walk before dinner...........
Had dinner @ the hotel itself and went to bed after watchin some old cricket matches and wonderful knocks of THE WALL.....
DAY 3::::
Woke up late and the day was supposed to be a rest day.......
So I watched TV whole day and was at my lethargic best.......:-D
Then we had to ckeck-out from the hotel @ 1600hrs.......
SO we vacated the room and headed bak to the RETIRING ROOM @ the AIRPORT.....
The crowd that attended the PONGALA festival was returning and there was traffic all the way to the AIRPORT......
Then from the AIRPORT, we went to SANGU MUGAM BEACH located near the AIRPORT and then to TRIVANDRUM CITY to have a look.......
We went round the CITY which was supposedly havin 7kms perimeter.......
Then from there, we went to HOTEL MUTHOOT PLAZA, one of the finest hotels in TRIVANDRUM and iz BUFFET was claimed to be the best in the CITY......
The hype didn't go in vain and the food was awesome.......
The salad section was also good......
But of all, the FRITTERS that were served was the best of the lot.....
It was BINDHI(LADIES FINGER) encapsuled in a dough and fried golden brown......
Then left the hotel for the room......
Had a nice sleep earlier than the other 2 days bcoz I was tired.......
DAY 4:::::
Got up late and watched MATRIX : RELOADED......
I hadn't watched MATRIX as yet but I wanted to see it........
the movie was awesome.....
it ended @ 915 and I had to catch a flight @ 1205hrs.......
Then had bath and left for my DAD's office.......
Went and sat down there for sometime and returned......
Dazz wen disaster strcuk........
Wasn't my day after all......
I usually take the stairs down......
So I was climbing down the stairs.....
The stairs were smooth and slippery......I knew I cud slip anytime and climbed down wid more caution.....
But that wasn't enuf.....My left leg slipped and my knee hit the stairs.......
Ouch.....I tumbeld down wid my left knee hittin the next 5 stairs........
And it pained a lot........Already have a bad left knee due to the accident exactly 3 months back....
But I had to bear the pain.....
Then went to the room in pain......My MOM took me down to the AIRPORT DOCTOR who attended to me and gave a ICE MASSAGE and a sprain-reliever spray........
A few tablets were prescribed and a gel was also given to be applied on the knee.....
It still pained and was bearable........
I was able to fold my leg and I was satisfied wid that.......
Then took the baggage and went to baord the flight.......
We sat in the VIP LOUNGE while our boarding cards were being readied.......
The lounge was very well furnished and the artefacts were really kewl..........
The ganesha statue in picture is no ordinary ganesha statue.....
It is made up of SANDALWOOD and costs a whopping 1,75,000.Rs
The stay in TRIVANDRUM was gr8 in short.......
And the maintanence & cleanliness of public roads were simply astonishing.......
Mind you, the roads were cleaned up in 2 hrs after the PONGALA festival got over....There were ashes lying all around the city and it was cleaned up and watered in 2 hrs flat......
Man we need some sorta involvement down here in CHENNAI to keep the places clean.....
The public do not help much as they litter everywhere........
Time to change.....Time to become cleaner and more hygenic.......
Well I took the flight bak @ 1205 and arrived bak @ CHENNAI @ 1400hrs.....
Then went to CHI's house to pick my granny BOM up......
Then returned home @ 1600hrs and switched on comp to check for mails and messages.......
